Experience the best of Botswana’s natural beauty and wildlife.
Embark on an extraordinary 3 or 6-night mobile safari adventure through the wild heart of Botswana, designed to immerse you in some of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife regions. Starting in Munga Plains after each yoga retreat, this journey takes you through the predator-rich plains of Savuti, the enchanting waterways of Khwai, and culminates with a scenic flight to the vibrant town of Kasane located at the gateway to the Okavango Delta.
For a more complete immersion, continue your trip with an additional night in Khwai and finish with two nights in the floodplains and wildlife-rich lagoons of the Moremi Game Reserve. Both safaris conclude with a scenic bush flight to Kasane, followed by a transfer to Kasane, Victoria Falls, or the airport.
Experience the best of Botswana’s natural beauty and wildlife while enjoying the comfort and convenience of a fully supported mobile safari.
Head early to Savuti where your mobile safari begins - a legendary area within Chobe National Park known for its dramatic landscapes and high concentration of predators.
The open plains and seasonal Savuti Channel attract a diverse array of wildlife, making it one of the most exciting regions for game viewing.
Morning and evening game drives with expert guides will maximize your chances of witnessing the area’s famous big cats, large herds of elephants, and other iconic species. End your days with a bush dinner under the stars, listening to the sounds of the African night.
Enjoy your stay in comfortable camping tents, strategically located at exclusive HATAB sites, offering a close connection to nature without sacrificing comfort.
The extension tent set-up follows the booking that you have made in the main reservation (private/shared).
After your time in Savuti, travel to Khwai for one night of exploration in this unique region that borders the Moremi Game Reserve. Khwai is renowned for its lush landscapes and diverse ecosystems, where the savannah meets the Okavango Delta's waterways.
Experience the best of both land and water with game drives and a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) safari. The night drives in Khwai are particularly thrilling, offering a rare chance to see nocturnal wildlife in action.
Stay in well-appointed camping tents set in a prime location within Khwai, ensuring an intimate and authentic bush experience.
Your adventure concludes with two nights in the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, the heart of the Okavango Delta. Explore the reserve’s rich floodplains, lagoons, and forests, encountering an extraordinary variety of wildlife, from majestic elephants to elusive leopards. Each night, fall asleep under the stars in comfortable safari tents that bring you closer to nature.
Take a scenic flight from Khwai Airstrip to Kasane (BBK), offering breathtaking aerial views of Botswana’s landscapes. Kasane, located on the banks of the Chobe River, is the perfect place to unwind after your safari adventures.

Thierry Nyfeler founded Munga Plains after a transformative trip to Botswana in 2021. Leaving behind his tech industry role, Thierry created Munga Plains to offer to others the profound disconnection he experienced. Since 2022, he has dedicated himself to building a sanctuary that embodies healing, sustainability, and community.
Community at Heart
Munga Plains is dedicated to the well-being and growth of the local community. Situated on the former tribal land of the Basubiya people, we honor their cultural heritage by hiring local staff, supporting artisans, and collaborating on community projects. Our guests experience local traditions and lifestyles, ensuring every visit positively impacts the community.
Sustainable by Design
Sustainability is at the core of Munga Plains. Our facilities, built with wood, thatching grass, and canvas, have a minimal environmental impact. We use solar power, treat our own water and sewage. Our eco-friendly safari activities support Chobe National Park's conservation efforts, home to the world's highest concentration of elephants.
